Spanning the course of over a week in February, tourists from all over come to this island just to experience this festival first hand. The capitals of the other islands include Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Gran Canaria, Arrecife in Lanzarote, Santa Cruz de La Palma in La Palma, San Sebastian de La Gomera in La Gomera, Valverde in El Hierro, and Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura.
