The absolute best way to see and experience the Blue Ridge Mountains is to take a trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Blue Ridge Mountains are a middle grade mountain range that stretches through North Carolina, South Carolina, and North Georgia. The mountain range provides a wealth of opportunities for anyone looking to get out and enjoy the scenic beauty of nature as well as experience some of the best vistas and views to be found in the Southeast. it does no matter what location you get on the Blue Ridge Parkway, all of the areas you will drive through will be fascinating.

If you are on the parkway in North Carolina you will be sure to stop by grandfather Mountain. This mountain is actually privately owned and therefore requires a separate admission fee, however this fee gives you access to a nature zoo, picnic areas, and the mile high suspension bridge that has been built at the very top of the mountain. From the view on top of the mountain you are able to see all the way down into the valley and see for hundreds of miles on a very clear day. there are also numerous hiking trails and paths than you can follow to truly get the full experience.

If you travel a bit further south on the Blue Ridge Parkway you will run into Caesar’s head State Park. This state park is home to one of the best views in all of South Carolina. This park has no entry fee and you can park you vehicle in a parking lot and take the short trail out to the Caesar’s head overlook. this scenic view will give you a great view of the upstate of South Carolina, as well as Table Rock and the surrounding lakes.

From Caesar’s head you can continue to travel down south where you will run into Table Rock State park and Lake Keowee. For the truly adventurous person you will want to be sure to hike along the Foothills trail which is a 103 mile trail that snakes through the Blue Ridge Mountains and gives you a first hand look at the beauty contained within. Leslie at allpro

Placed in the center of Vienna, right in Ringstrasse, this Museum of Natural History is the twin brother of the Kuntshistorisches Museum, which you’ll find right across the street from it. This was deliberately organized by the then Emperor of Austria who decided that his vast Natural History and Art collections deserved their own grand museum. It was integrated in the City center’s landscape, populated with grand Romantic architecture. It’s been called a Museum of a Museum because it still features the original side decoration, after a very careful preservation movement. The collections range from precious stones and minerals, dinosaur fossils – including full skeletons, pre-historic art works and a grand collection of preserved animals and insects. It also serves as a cultural museum, showing how people lived at the time of its founding, and it also features a very interesting collection of taxidermy instruments, many if not all of them used to preserve its animals and insects.

Getting to the Museum is very easy, as it’s located right in the historical center of the town and close to several landmarks like the National Library, the Parliament Building and the People’s Gardens (Volksgarten). Getting to Vienna itself is also as easy as pie, as flights to Vienna are increasingly cheap and popular.

So you are planning to go solo for your next travel adventure? There is certainly nothing wrong with that, in fact, going solo is actually a great idea and everybody should do it at least once in their lives – especially while they are still single. There so much that you will discover not just with the world but with yourself as well if you decide to travel alone. But which cities or countries are perfect for solo travelers? Here are some suggestions that you might want to consider for your next travel trip:

Siem Reap, Cambodia: visit the Angkor Wat and enjoy the rich culture of Cambodia. While some people are kind of scared to visit this place, it’s actually pretty safe as you plan ahead and book for your lodging and transportation beforehand. This way you will be able to save yourself from pesky locals who will try to lure you into the so-called “best deals” in town. After Cambodia then you can easily check out either Vietnam or Thailand – or both to experience more of the mystical ancient worlds of the Far East.

Another great place the solo travelers should travel to at least once in their lives is beautiful Hawaii. You need not worry about people not speaking English anymore plus there is just so much to see and do in this island paradise that you might even end up extending your stay. This is a must-see especially for beach bunnies who are looking for adventure and some good old R&R.
