Off the southern coast of the UK lies the small Isle of Wight, also known as the Diamond Isle due to its shape. Its position makes it warmer than the rest of the UK, and, being small, it also benefits visitors with easy access to beaches at any point on the island.
As you might expect, this has led to it being a popular destination for holiday makers in the UK, and the island is well known for its many Isle of Wight hotels that visitors can stay at. Other attractions such as the Isle of Wight zoo, the Needles and numerous festivals that occur on the island have certainly helped make people flock to it.
In fact, especially during festivals, the island can suffer from there not being enough places to stay, and late bookers might find that their planned trip will have to be cancelled, so it’s recommended that you book your Isle of Wight accommodation early.
Even at the peak of the holiday season, the island doesn’t become crowded. There’s plenty of space, and the number of tourists is limited by the limited amount of accommodation available. As access is only available by hovercraft, ferry or catamaran, visiting day after day isn’t an option for most people.
So, if you’re planning a visit to the UK, consider the Isle of Wight for your trip, just remember to book your stay early.
